Cross-Platform Connectivity

Cross-Platform refers to computer programs, such as the systems, languages, and the software. Cross platform application allows it to be runned on any common platform. Cross-Platform Connectivity is identically runned on different platforms from either software or hardware. An example would be Windows and Macintosh. What allows the machines to communicate and share resources is the TCP/IP protocol. In order for Windows-based PCs and Mac computers to be on the same network the network should use TCP/IP protocol. If software is functioned on more than one computer architecture or operating system it could be considered as a cross-platform.
